Yu Bingyou has never described himself as an artist, preferring to identify simply as a craftsman. Yet, looking at his work, we are reminded that craftsmanship at its highest level can become an art form in itself.

This teapot is a design Bingyou has continued to explore and refine over the years, with each piece carrying its own unique character. For prunus, we specify only the lid knob and handle design, leaving the remaining details to Bingyou's own creative judgment. No two pieces are exactly alike. With a capacity of 95 mL, this teapot sits between single- and double-serving sizes. We find it particularly suitable for two small guest cups, or one larger personal cup. The elevated Tiliang handle brings a distinctive sculptural presence to any tea setting.

For a natural pairing, we recommend displaying it on one of Bingyou's Qi Series teapot stands, allowing the two pieces to complement one another in both form and material.

Recommended Oolong: Wuyi Rock Oolong, Phoenix Dancong, Roasted Tieguanyin; The low-profile 95 mL body is suited to personal gongfu brewing and multiple short infusions. It can also be used for other teas according to your preferred brewing style.

• Not dishwasher safe due to the natural lacquer finish. Hand washing is recommended to protect the surface.
• Clean with plain water and a soft sponge. A small piece of natural loofah sponge is particularly recommended for cleaning corners and fine details.
• Avoid abrasive cleaning tools and harsh detergents.
• Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before storing.
• The colour and texture of natural lacquer may gradually change with use. This is a normal characteristic of the material.
