Handcrafted in Tajimi, Gifu, Japan, by ceramic artist Kasumi Fujimura. Formed by hand without the use of a mould, this porcelain bowl features four softly curved sides inspired by flower petals. Its cloud-like silhouette and matte-white finish give the piece a gentle decorative presence while remaining suitable for everyday table settings.

The Large works well for salads, fruit, or dishes served with broth or sauce. The Small is suitable for condiments, sweets, or small side dishes.

Each piece is individually made, so variations in shape, dimensions, colour, and surface finish are natural. Small pinholes, iron specks, glaze variations, and firing marks may occur and are not considered defects.

Curator's Note

More expressive than an ordinary round bowl, but still quiet enough to pair easily with other tableware. The four-petal shape adds a gentle softness to the table and makes even simple food feel thoughtfully presented. The Large is particularly attractive for shared salads or fruit, while the Small works as a delicate accent piece.

Caring

Hand-wash gently with a soft sponge and mild detergent, then dry thoroughly. Dishwasher use is not recommended, as repeated heat, strong detergents, and contact with other tableware may gradually affect the matte finish or delicate petal-shaped edges.

Do not use in a microwave, oven, or over direct heat. Avoid sudden changes in temperature.
